Goodspeed Watches was born out of the desire to create a watch that was well made, vintage inspired and affordable. Our newest project, the Sonoma is named after the Sonoma raceway in my home state of California. The 2.52 mile course has been raced on by some of the greatest drivers in history: Andretti, Unser, Earnhardt.
We were able to capture the aesthetics of vintage watches with a case shape that rarely gets used today, called a tonneau case. Made from 316L stainless steel, the front of the case is finished in what's called a sunray brushing so named because the brush pattern radiates out from the center like the sun's rays. The sides of the case are polished which adds a nice contrast to the brushed stainless steel front. The uncluttered dial, with two sub-registers makes telling the time and counting the seconds easy no matter how fast you're traveling. This watch also combines style elements from both motorsport racing watches as well as dive style watches to create a unique look that you'll love to wear.

Made from 316L stainless steel and with a case diameter of 42mm the watch will be made with some of the best modern components. It'll come in four colorways (shown above) and two movement choices:
- Mechanical: The mechanical option will feature the Seagull ST1901 mechanical (manual wind) movement and sapphire crystal and be priced starting at $275.
- Quartz: the quartz option will have a Miyota 6S21 quartz movement and be priced starting at $135.

Additionally, we'll offer a matching custom stainless bracelet in both stainless and black PVD to purchase. The Sonoma on the bracelet option is shown below. This style of bracelet created by Gay Freres for Patek Phillipe and later Heuer is referred to as "beads of rice" and was the perfect bracelet to compliment the vintage style of the Sonoma. The outer links are brushed stainless and the inners are highly polished giving it a very nice look.
